Young Ivan Demidov not only scored an important goal on Tuesday night, he also gained even more love from Montreal Canadiens fans.
After his superb equalizing goal against the Seattle Kraken, the atmosphere at the Bell Centre was already electric. And what happened in the locker room made the fans even happier.

As the media approached him in the locker room, Demidov surprised everyone with a touching response.
When asked by Anthony Martineau of TVA Sports, the young Russian forward first responded in English, before turning to the camera to address a message directly to Montreal fans.
And he did it... in French.
With a big smile, he said:
"Good evening, fans. Thank you, thank you very much."

I must say, this is the kind of attention that shows he already understands what hockey represents in Montreal.
He could have simply answered in English, like many players do, but no-he chose to make an effort to speak our language, and that is something fans will not forget.
