At the 2019 NHL Draft, Marc Bergevin and the leadership of the Montreal organization decided to select defenseman Jayden Struble in the 2nd round, 46th overall.
After playing a few games in the AHL with the Laval Rocket, the native of Cumberland-a village in British Columbia located in the Comox-Strathcona Regional District-finally made the jump to the big club in 2023-24.
Struble isn't the flashiest defenseman, but he does honest work on the ice and brings a physical edge.
