The Montreal Canadiens still need a second-line center to pair with Ivan Demidov, but management may have found their future solution.

Since the end of the season, Kent Hughes has been very active in his search for a center for the second line.
Even though no trade has been completed, Hughes has done excellent work with significant acquisitions.
There's also the question of whether Zachary Bolduc could play center during the season.
However, the Montreal Canadiens may have found their future center.

Michael Hage could be the future second-line center of the Montreal Canadiens

Hage is generating a lot of buzz-and for good reasons.
Hage is also establishing himself as a center for Team Canada, which says a lot about his future in Montreal.
"Michael Hage seems on track to secure a spot with Team Canada Junior in December.

No certainty yet, but his coach had very positive words for him. And it would be invaluable experience for Hage!"

- Marc-Olivier Beaudoin
Hage could also have an offensive role on the team.
His talent and skills are contributing to his impressive development.
He will play next season with the Michigan Wolverines, and he could make the jump to the pros afterward.
In the end, the future of the Montreal Canadiens is looking very promising.
