Nick Suzuki didn't hide his smile when talking about Jacob Fowler.

After the recent game in boston, the Canadiens' captain was asked about the young goaltender. The mood was light, but the message was clear.
Suzuki took the time to answer.
You could feel that he was talking about a teammate who is already respected. And that matters in a locker room. Suzuki especially emphasized Fowler's calm when the pressure rises.

Suzuki has also been impressed by what he's seen from the young goaltender.
"He's been really impressive, to be honest," Suzuki said. "Just really calm, really confident, kind of everything that I'd heard before getting to play with him.

He always seems to be in a good position to make the save, he makes the saves he's supposed to, he really battles, he makes some big saves for the team. It's been fun to watch him."

This kind of comment spreads quickly within the Canadiens.
When the captain talks like that, the guys listen. It's not a promise; it's an observation of what he sees every day. Fowler faces shots, stays composed, and the team plays with that in mind. The bench becomes louder, more alive.
What also stands out is Suzuki's tone-simple and positive. He's not selling a dream; he's describing what he feels on the ice. He doesn't need to embellish it for it to get people talking.
Fans mostly want to feel a sense of direction, even when things get rough. Fowler doesn't have to carry the city on his shoulders overnight.
But hearing Suzuki say that "it's fun to watch him" is a strong signal. Let's say it properly-it feels good to hear that.
And if the locker room buys in, the Bell Centre buys in too.
