While Montreal digests the U.S. roster, Cole Caufield was left off Team USA despite ranking 7th among American forwards with 40 points.

The same goes for Lane Hutson: listed as an American defenseman with 40 points, he was also left out.
On the other hand, at least the Montreal Canadiens will have a representative in Italy. Nick Suzuki was selected for Team Canada, on a roster already loaded with big names. For Habs fans, it's a small win that helps morale in the middle of winter.

Nick Suzuki may be linked to a different number at the Olympic Games

On Saturday, one detail on Fanatics got people talking:
"According to Fanatics, it looks like Nick Suzuki might be wearing Number 10 with Team Canada.

Bo Horvat gets Number 14" - HabsOnReddit
The most intriguing element is the number. On a Fanatics product listing tied to the Olympic Games, Suzuki appears with No. 10. Nothing indicates that this is official-and that's important to point out-but it was enough to spark a 200-comment discussion in the span of two minutes.
Bo Horvat was also seen associated with No. 14, his usual number in the NHL, which explains why Suzuki might not simply keep No. 14 as he does in Montreal.
In short, captaincy, production, contract-everything is there for him to draw attention, even when the topic of the day is just a number on a jersey.
