The end of the Canadiens' season looks very promising because the team is setting the stage for the next season. The young players are stepping up, and we're witnessing the emergence of players like Juraj Slafkovsky, Joshua Roy, and Jayden Struble, just to name a few.
However, my attention is also focused on two European defensemen who could arrive in the coming days. The first-round pick, 5th overall in the last draft, David Reinbacher, plays on Friday afternoon, and if his team loses, their season is over.
For Reinbacher, if he loses, he could arrive during the weekend or early next week. As for Engstrom, it all depends on his playoff journey, but he could sign his entry-level contract immediately after, especially since he doesn't have an agreement with his current team for the next season.
In both cases, it would be a beneficial addition for the Laval Rocket, who are trying to qualify for the playoffs. They are just one point behind the Toronto Marlies and the last playoff spot.
