News from Louis Jean about his departure of TVA Sport

During an interview, Louis Jean has just broken the silence about his murky departure from TVA Sports.

Over a year after being fired by TVA Sports, the former host of «La soirée du Hockey TVA Sports» has revealed exclusive details about his departure while appearing on Jerr Alain's podcast.

He was questioned about his infamous exit from the sports channel, an exit that did not leave anyone indifferent in the Quebec media and sports community.

It is recalled that Louis Jean had disappeared from the airwaves after simply announcing his departure from TVA Sports in March 2023.

Louis Jean, besides not commenting on his departure, had completely disappeared from the media sphere. This gave rise to rumors about his relationship with Renaud Lavoie.

"There are all sorts of stories that people want to presume... The reason they gave me, and there was no reason to think otherwise. Ultimately, I think it was a philosophical question and it was a question of cutting costs."

He also explains that he was earning a high salary at TVA Sports and that he was demanding the best from everyone, which may have worked against him:

"I was pushing all the time, I wanted to innovate, I wanted us to have the best product and I was pushing all the time, I understand that it's not always relaxing. Probably that's something they wanted to reproach me for, that I was too intense and pushing too hard.

Ultimately, I think that was it. I don't think my employers were on the same page and they decided to make a change, it was their choice."

Regarding the rumors that circulated about him, he mentions that it no longer affects him and that he worked hard over the past year to no longer worry about others' opinions.
