For several months now, forward Trevor Zegras has been linked to the Canadiens for obvious reasons. Firstly, his relationship with the Ducks doesn't seem very healthy, and he is also best friends with Cole Caufield, not to mention having the Canadiens' coach among his admirers.
Now that Pat Verbeek, the GM in Anaheim, has acquired Cutter Gauthier, it's hard not to think that Zegras could be on the market, and this possibility was raised by none other than insider Darren Dreger.
The Ducks' top 6 will consist of Mason McTavish, Troy Terry, Cutter Gauthier, and Leo Carlsson, plus they will likely have a top 5 pick this year. It's understood that Zegras is far from untouchable by then, especially with the tensions between the team and him.
