Barely a few games into the KHL and young Alexander Zharovsky, a second-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens, is already turning heads with his spectacular plays.
At only 18 years old, Alexander Zharovsky is confidently establishing himself in the lineup with his new team, Salavat Yulaev Ufa.
From everything we can see and read, he's not just on the ice-he's making a difference.
Tricolore fans have every reason to look forward to seeing the youngster in Montreal in a few years.
Alexander Zharovsky impresses right from his debut with the Montreal Canadiens in sight
Then, he followed it up with a second assist in his second game. It was a thing of beauty:
"2nd game, 2nd assist by 18-year-old Alexander Zharovsky"
- KHL
Here's what Mathias Brunet had to say about him:
"Alexander Zharovsky has to succeed with the CH!
- Mathias Brunet
From everything I've seen, I find that his style already recalls certain big names, with that ability to slow down the play and create openings.
As Marc-Olivier Beaudoin noted earlier:
"Zharovsky managed to silence his critics in just one game, demonstrating surprising maturity for his age."
Zharovsky had already shined in the Russian junior league with 50 points in 45 games, but his immediate impact at the higher level is an encouraging sign for the Canadiens.
If this progression continues, Montreal could soon find itself with an unexpected asset in its organization.
