A catastrophic news has just hit the Toronto Maple Leafs

During his pre-game press conference, the head coach of the Maple Leafs, Sheldon Keefe, announced catastrophic news for his team.

The coach revealed that goaltender Ilya Samsonov was injured and would not be able to participate in game 4, as the Toronto team faces elimination.

The Russian goaltender's condition will be re-evaluated daily, which means he could still make a return to the game in the series if the team were to stay alive in the upcoming duels.

The Leafs will therefore have to turn to their rookie netminder Joseph Woll, who has only 13 games of NHL experience. He will have the immense pressure of saving his team's season in the upcoming games.
