It's almost becoming a comedy, but the Canadiens, despite major changes this summer, are once again dealing with serious injuries to key players.
Kirby Dach will miss the entire season, and it's unclear for Kaiden Guhle. And now it's David Savard's turn. It seems that when a player goes back to the locker room, it's because they are seriously injured.
Unfortunately for him, it seems he injured his hand or wrist on his first blocked shot. He immediately dropped his stick after the puck impact, and it's clear that he had difficulty handling Jake Evans' pass afterward.
Regrettably, he had to head back to the locker room and didn't return to the game. If he too is seriously injured, it could be catastrophic for Martin St-Louis and his team. Savard plays significant minutes, especially early in the season, while the team has been very undisciplined. We'll have updates today as the Canadiens face the New Jersey Devils at the Bell Centre.
