Since the beginning of the season, there's a phenomenon that is becoming increasingly concerning. Cole Caufield was perceived as a potential candidate to score 40 goals or more, but there's a scoring drought.
The young forward has only scored one goal at 5-on-5, one on the power play, and three in 3-on-3 situations. After 15 games, this is a low output for the leading scorer of a team.
Cole and Nick Suzuki were separated by Martin St-Louis, and it didn't have the desired effect. Cole isn't producing more, and Nick doesn't have anyone to finish his plays. They need to be put back together, or at least, Caufield should be played more often.
When you look at the players' ice time, Christian Dvorak is indeed the third most utilized center, and his wingers follow suit.
Bergy's idea is well-received by most fans. A line consisting of Sean Monahan, Cole Caufield, and Tanner Pearson could be strong, for example.
