Kent Hughes is currently trying to trade a goaltender, as we all know. In fact, the GM has the upper hand by listening to offers since several NHL teams are looking to acquire a goalie, and his phone is ringing a lot.

If he hasn't made a deal yet, it's because he hasn't received an offer he can't refuse, and he is letting the bids go up. However, that could have changed.

On Sunday, the Flyers placed goaltender Felix Sandstrom on waivers. Imagine if the Oilers or any other team in need of a goalie decided to give him a chance. That would take a potential client away from Hughes, especially since the Oilers are at the top of the list.

That's not the case, as Sandstrom went unclaimed, and teams looking for a goalie are still in the mix. We can even add the Flyers, who now have one less goaltender.

Currently, according to Elliotte Friedman's reports in recent days, there are at least two teams very interested in a Canadiens goalie, namely the Oilers and the Devils.

Cayden Primeau and Samuel Montembeault seem to be the most targeted candidates. To be continued...

IN YOUR OPINION, WILL THE GOALTENDING SITUATION BE RESOLVED BEFORE CHRISTMAS?
