Despite the emergence of several recruits this season, one of the most pleasant surprises for the Tricolore has undoubtedly been the rapid progression of Rafael Harvey-Pinard. Due to numerous injuries, he had the opportunity to play the second half of the season with the big club, and he made the most of it.
No matter which line RHP played on, he had a significant impact in every game he was in Martin St-Louis' lineup. His performances even earned him a spot alongside Nick Suzuki on the top unit for several games.
In 34 games with the Canadiens, Rafael Harvey-Pinard amassed an impressive total of 14 goals and 6 assists, finishing the year as the fourth-highest scorer for the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge.
However, despite his impressive showing last season, RHP is not resting on his laurels this summer. On the contrary, RHP plans to train intensively during the offseason to secure a spot with the Tricolore next year.
The 24-year-old forward is currently without a contract for the upcoming season, but there is no doubt that Kent Hughes will offer him an extension to keep him in the organization for many seasons to come.
