Just minutes after announcing the signing of goaltender Strauss Mann and defenseman Tobie Paquette-Bisson, Kent Hughes struck again by offering contracts to two forwards. Indeed, in his role as General Manager of the Laval Rocket, he agreed to a one-year, (AHL) contract with prospect Jared Davidson, as well as Jakov Novak.

"The Rocket has reached an agreement on one-year contracts with forwards Jared Davidson and Jakov Novak." - Laval Rocket

Jared Davidson, drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the fifth round of the 2022 draft, is a well-known prospect among Montreal fans. The forward had an impressive season with the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL, tallying 38 goals and 44 assists (82 points) in 60 games. The 20-year-old also recorded 23 points in 19 playoff games.

Many experts mention that Davidson has significant potential and could become an important asset for the Canadiens in the coming years. One thing is certain, we are excited to see him develop with the Rocket next season, as he will try to prove to the management that he deserves an entry-level contract in the NHL.

As for Jakov Novak, he has an imposing frame at 6'3" and 215 pounds, and is known for his physical style of play. The 24-year-old forward also registered 12 points in 14 games with the Allen Americans in the ECHL last season.

We are greatly looking forward to following their progress with the Laval Rocket next season!
