We have just learned who will be the starting goalie for the Montreal Canadiens, and the final decision is quite a surprise.

It is ultimately Jake Allen who will serve as the number one goalie for the first game of the season.
This means that Samuel Montembeault did not win his bet, as many believed he would be the team's starting goalie before training camp began.
