Journalist Adrien Dater, who covers the Colorado Avalanche, made a very interesting trade proposal involving Samuel Girard and the Montreal Canadiens.
Indeed, Dater asked Canadiens' fans if they were ready to sacrifice forward Josh Anderson to acquire the services of the Quebecer. The fans' responses seemed particularly divided on this trade proposal.
The Canadiens' forward has had some difficulties producing on a regular basis since his arrival in Montreal. However, Anderson reached the 20-goal mark this season, finishing the year with 32 points in 69 games.
As for Samuel Girard, the defenseman native of Roberval had his best season in his career with a harvest of 6 goals and 31 assists in 76 games this year. He could be an excellent option on the Canadiens' second power play, but Martin St. Louis' team already has several left-handed defensemen in its lineup.
