A Big Surprise Unfolded at Samuel Montembeault and Daryanne Ayotte's Beautiful Wedding
Samuel Montembeault is a highly regarded goalie with the Montreal Canadiens and has shown solid progress since joining the organization.
In October 2021, Marc Bergevin made one of his final moves by claiming goalie Samuel Montembeault from the Florida Panthers off waivers.
After a brilliant career in the QMJHL with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, the Bécancour native had experienced some difficulties with the Florida organization.
A 3rd-round pick, 77th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft, he watched the Panthers select goalie
Spencer Knight, 13th overall, two years later. Knight's arrival completely changed Montembeault's future in Florida. With Bobrovsky and Knight ahead of him, it became very difficult for Montembeault to hope to earn a spot with the big club.
His progress since arriving in Montreal has been very impressive,
eventually securing him a 3-year extension. During the 2025 playoffs against the Washington Capitals, the number 35 was very solid in front of the Canadiens' net.
Jonathan Drouin's Presence Steals the Spotlight at Samuel Montembeault's Wedding
Forward Jonathan Drouin played four seasons alongside Samuel Montembeault, and the two Quebec Natives remain good friends, even though Drouin is no longer with the Montreal organization.
In recent hours, the Canadiens' goalie married his partner, Daryanne Ayotte, and the couple shared beautiful moments with many of their friends in attendance.
Among the guests, Jonathan Drouin has caught the attention of fans, with many praising the left winger's gesture as a wonderful mark of respect toward his former teammate.
In 2025-26, Jonathan will play his first season with Patrick Roy and the New York Islanders, after spending two campaigns with the Colorado Avalanche. We can only wish him the best moving forward!
