The KHL is making a strong comeback, as 6 players have just signed contracts and are officially leaving the NHL.

Adding a name like Evgeny Kuznetsov to the mix, it's starting to be quite a few. Among them, a former Canadiens player is joining CSKA Moscow.
"CSKA of the #KHL signed a 3-year deal with Egor Afanasyev from the Predators, 3-year deal with Dmitry Samorukov from the Penguins, 2-year deal with Denis Gurianov from the Flyers, 2-year deal with Ruslan Iskhakov from the Islanders, 2-year deal with Nikita Okhotyuk from the Flames."

"Also: Alexander Barabanov signed a two-year contract with Ak Bars Kazan (KHL)"

Indeed, Denis Gurianov, who was acquired in exchange for Evgenii Dadonov, is returning home, as he never became the player expected in the NHL.
The big surprise is Alexander Barabanov, who has over 100 points in 207 NHL games in just four seasons.
It's safe to say that this is a major move by CSKA Moscow, bringing together 5 former NHL players in a single day.
