Alexandre Texier sparks emotional locker room scene after hat trick vs Panthers
On Thursday, the Canadiens' locker room erupted around Alexandre Texier.
At the Bell Centre, the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Florida Panthers 6-2. Texier completed the first hat trick of his career, and it could be felt in the air. Samuel Montembeault also played a major role with 25 saves, keeping the night on track.
Wednesday was already special against the Calgary Flames, with a 4-1 win. Texier scored a goal and added two assists: his first three-point game in the NHL.
After that, he received the famous wolf's head in the locker room, and he delivered a simple line that stuck. Essentially, he said they were going to do the same thing the next night.

That's where the story gets interesting. Phillip Danault had received the wolf's head after a game in Dallas, then passed it on to Texier after the win against Calgary. The Canadiens even posted a wink, "FAMILY," because it's clearly becoming a small ritual that keeps coming back.
After the game against the Panthers, Alexandre Texier decided to pass the wolf's head to Samuel Montembeault, and the Quebec-born goaltender decided to give it right back to the forward.
Teammates appreciated the gesture in the locker room.
