Canadiens Confirm Patrik Laine Among Three Players Absent From Practice

The Montreal Canadiens, after their spectacular victory against the Seattle Kraken, saw three of their players miss Wednesday's practice.
A decision that raises questions but seems fairly precautionary.
The Canadiens confirmed that Patrik Laine, Jake Evans, and Kaiden Guhle did not participate in the morning practice at the CN Complex.
According to the team, it is simply a 'therapy day', a very common measure after an intense game.
"Forwards Jake Evans and Patrik Laine as well as defenseman Kaiden Guhle will not participate in today's practice (therapy day)."

Last night, the Canadiens put on quite a show by defeating the Seattle Kraken 5-4 in overtime, a match highlighted by goals from Ivan Demidov and Cole Caufield (twice even).
Patrik Laine, absent this morning, recorded a superb assist on Demidov's game-tying goal, and it was clear he had left a lot of energy on the ice.

In this game, I found that Evans and Guhle stood out for their hard work on the penalty kill, which could explain the decision to give them a rest.
Everything indicates that this break is precautionary and that no major injury is expected for the three players.
The Canadiens will resume action Thursday night at the Bell Centre, facing the Nashville Predators, hoping to record a fourth consecutive victory to start the 2025-26 season.
I think it's a good thing to see Martin St-Louis managing his players' workload so early in the season.
