The Montreal Canadiens prospect Michael Hage wasted no time making headlines with the start of his college season.

In his first game of the season with the University of Michigan, he exploded with two goals and three assists, totaling five points in an 11-1 win against Mercyhurst.
Not a bad start for a player many already see as part of a future second line for the Canadiens.

Michael Hage impresses everyone right from the start of the season

From everything we've read, the 19-year-old forward worked hard all summer, and it shows. He picked up exactly where he left off after his strong season of 34 points in 33 games last year.
The Wolverines completely dominated the game. Will Horcoff scored three times, while Malcolm Spence and Henry Mews each collected three points.
But the real star of the night was Hage.
Midway through the second period, he scored on a nice feed from Spence during a two-on-one, before adding another on the power play later in the game.
The poor opposing goalie had a long night..
Here's what Canadiens reporter Marco D'Amico had to say:
"Michael Hage finishes tonight's game with two goal and three assists in an 11-1 victory for Michigan." - Marco D'Amico
It was only the first game of the season, but already, he's sending a clear message.
In my opinion, this kind of start is exactly what a young player needs to do, and I'm really looking forward to following him throughout the season.
