Canadiens sit near the bottom in key metric despite promising start

First of all, I want to clarify that the Habs are having a strong start to the season, so I don't want to sound negative. That said, we can begin.
The Canadiens are finding ways to win even when they don't have full control of the game.
Fans are happy, the atmosphere is good, and we're seeing solid progress in several areas of play.
But one point is starting to stand out more and more.
The Canadiens are not shooting enough on net
In this article by Maxime Truman, it's highlighted that despite the wins, the Canadiens are among the teams with the fewest shots on goal since the start of the season.
Last week, the Habs finished three games with only 20, 19, and 23 shots.
Only the Flyers shoot less.
We're not talking about a small detail here.
As Truman points out, this isn't about whether the players are talented - we know they are.
But the concern comes from the fact that they too often look for the perfect pass or the spectacular play.

It's simple... More shots, more rebounds, more chances.
With fewer shots, the law of probabilities eventually catches up to everyone, even a confident team.
And in a few weeks, the schedule will become much more difficult with the Stars, Maple Leafs, Bruins, Golden Knights, and Avalanche.
In my opinion, none of this changes the fact that the Canadiens are on a good run, but now is when the adjustments matter, before the results start to slip.
