CH: big change for Arber Xhekaj and Florian Xhekaj that impacts their future
The two Xhekaj brothers belong to the Canadiens, even if the elder of the two will be without a contract tomorrow.
Indeed, Arber will be a restricted free agent and it's quite surprising he hasn't been signed yet, given that the Canadiens seem to hold him in high regard.
It appears part of the issue has now been identified, as the Xhekaj brothers have just changed agents.
Hopefully, this will help speed up negotiations between the Canadiens and Arber, because he is a fan favorite in Montreal and it would not be advantageous for anyone if the wait for his next contract continues.
Arber brings a physical dimension that the Canadiens desperately need, in addition to being an excellent hockey player.
Florian will be playing for the Laval Rocket this year and is poised to surprise many experts, just like his brother did.
