In his latest article, Maxime Truman reported a rather unusual story involving the Montreal Canadiens.

A controversial firing was announced with the Montreal Canadiens, right in the middle of summer.
We recently told you about the hiring of Enrick Corneau as the new video coach for the Canadiens, an excellent hire in fact, but this arrival also apparently hid another rather puzzling departure.

The Firing of Éric Gravel Is Causing a Stir Within the Montreal Canadiens

According to Max Truman, Gravel's dismissal seems to have made waves internally.
Without realizing it, we're talking here about a guy who had been working for the Montreal Canadiens since February 2015-so for more than ten years- and who "was highly appreciated by Martin St-Louis and the team's coaching staff."
The Montreal Canadiens have hired Enrick Corneau to be their assistant video coach. He replaced Éric Gravel, who was with GoHabsGo for 10 years
He was competent, and his personality was unanimously liked within the Canadiens organization.
So why was he let go?
"His firing is unclear, and from what I'm hearing, there are several unhappy people internally.

The person directly involved believes he had no reason to be let go.

It seems the call may have come from as high up as Geoff Molson."

Wow. So the decision would have come directly from Geoff Molson!
But why?
I'm very curious to see if there will be more to this story.
Knowing that the Montreal Canadiens organization has always acted with great class, I have to believe there is a logical and reasonable explanation for this situation, but let's just say it seems rather strange for the moment.
