There has been a lot of activity with the Montreal Canadiens since the beginning of the summer and Kent Hughes has been very active so far.

What does the Canadiens team have in store for us next season? One thing is certain, the future is very promising and the first season of the young Ivan Demidov will be closely watched. The Russian forward takes things very seriously and he works very hard in training.
Last June, Kent Hughes acquired defenseman Noah Dobson from the New York Islanders. At 25 years old, the 6'4", 200 lb defenseman is extremely talented and should normally play alongside Kaiden Guhle.
The phenomenon Lane Hutson certainly hasn't finished surprising us, and every year he always finds a way to increase his performance.
After scoring 66 points in 2024-25, Hutson could now aim for the 80-point mark in his second season and he has more than enough talent to do so. During his career, it wouldn't even be surprising to see him reach 100 points in a single season.
Forward Zachary Bolduc is also joining the Canadiens after being acquired by Kent Hughes from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Logan Mailloux. According to Daily Faceoff projections, he would play on the same line as Demidov.
Of course, we will also watch the performances of captain Nick Suzuki, his partner Cole Caufield, and the young Juraj Slafkovsky. The latter is showing great improvement in his shots and does not hold back in training.

The Montreal Canadiens officially confirm the hiring of Enrick Corneau

After 2 seasons with the Saguenéens, Enrick Corneau joins the Canadiens as a video coach!

Congratulations, Enrick
"It is with great pride that I join the Montreal Canadiens organization. I am excited to take on this new challenge; being in the National League has always been a childhood dream. I want to thank Yanick Jean [head coach of the Saguenéens] and everyone who trusted me throughout my journey," - Corneau said in a statement.

In a statement, the Saguenéens made the following announcement:
Saguenay, Monday, August 11 - The Chicoutimi Saguenéens announce that Enrick Corneau will leave his duties with the team to join the hockey staff of the Montreal Canadiens as a video coach. He has signed a two-year contract with the Canadiens.

Congratulations Enrick!
