Crucial change for Juraj Slafkovsky of the Montreal Canadiens
The transformation of Juraj Slafkovsky is quite incredible. Since December, he has been producing at a rate of nearly one point per game, surpassing players like Jack Hughes at the same age.
It's easy to forget that Slafkovsky is only 20 years old, and he just turned 20 two weeks ago. His progress is far from over, and he will become even stronger physically and more dominant. One aspect of his game that was lacking was his shots per game. Too often, analysts, fans, and even Martin St. Louis told him to use the weapon he possesses.
In the last 6 games, this has drastically changed.
"Slafkovsky is shooting like never before. He had 6 shots against Flyers and this time he was rewarded with 3 goals.
His shots per game:
October: 1,11
November: 1,64
December: 1,31
January: 1,62
February: 2,73
March: 1,85
Last 6 games: 4,67"

It's an incredible breakout, and it's no coincidence that he is so close to the 20-goal plateau in his second season. We wish him well, as he has four more games to score a goal and reach this prestigious milestone!
