Former Canadiens goalie Carey Price recently opened up in an interview with La Presse, conducted by journalist Richard Labbé.

In which he speaks for the first time in a long while about his daily life away from hockey and his future.
I'm happy to see that the former Montreal Canadiens goaltender now lives a peaceful life in British Columbia, just outside Kelowna, where he devotes all his time to his family.
"My days are like this now. Every weekday, I drive my kids to school. Then, I work out a bit before running errands and, afterward, I go back to school."

- Carey Price

It's nice to read this, especially knowing the difficult times Price went through in the past during much of his years in Montreal.
Price, who ended his career three years ago due to knee and hip injuries, admits that he feels physically better, even if he's not yet thinking about returning to the ice.

Carey Price Wants to Stay Close to Hockey, But Without Rushing

The former Hart Trophy winner, however, does not close the door on a return to the hockey world.
"I can envision such a scenario in the future, but for now, I'm dedicating all my energy to my family."

- Carey Price
Jokingly, he adds that he might consider it when his children become teenagers and no longer want to spend time with him.
"I often make the same joke: when my kids become teenagers and no longer want to see me, that's when I might consider returning to the hockey world, in some role.. but I don't know if I would take part in a preseason game like Marc-André [Fleury] just did. That guy is pretty special, he's flexible, and his body is like a spring.. But for now, I'm happy to be at home."

In the meantime, Price will make a notable return to Montreal soon: he will be present at the Bell Centre on December 3 for the tribute to Andrei Markov, his former teammate and close friend.
"He deserves such a tribute, because he gave a lot to the Canadiens. He was a solid defenseman, one of the best I've ever played with."

- Carey Price, speaking about Andrei Markov
I find it touching to see how strongly Price maintains a connection with the club and his former teammates. Even from afar, he remains a Canadiens member at heart.
