Ivan Demidov Goes Viral After Humiliating Canadiens Teammates with Jaw-Dropping Moves
Ivan Demidov's name has been on everyone's lips since he arrived in Montreal, and in the past few hours, the Russian forward was absolutely spectacular during a training session in Brossard alongside several of his Canadiens teammates.
Ivan Demidov will officially play his very first NHL season in 2025-26, and the Canadiens' 5th overall pick in 2024 is eagerly anticipated by fans.
According to most experts, the 19-year-old forward ranks among the top 3 best players selected over the past two years, alongside Matthew Schaefer (1st overall pick in 2025) and Macklin Celebrini (1st overall in 2024).
This is another major success for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens' management, who also pulled off a massive steal by drafting defenseman Lane Hutson at 62nd overall in 2022.
To give you an idea, Hutson would now likely be the first overall pick if his draft year were redone - just ahead of his compatriot Juraj Slafkovsky and Logan Cooley, who now plays with the Utah Mammoth.
With names like Demidov, Slafkovsky, Hutson, Guhle, Reinbacher, Caufield, Suzuki, Bolduc, Dobson, Zharovsky, and Fowler, the future definitely looks very bright in Montreal.
