The least we can say is that the Christian Dvorak experiment with the Canadiens has not been successful, and he will be leaving sooner or later.

Indeed, according to Frank Seravalli, who released a list of the top 20 players on the trade market that includes Dvorak, it's not a question of if, but when.
"Scoop: Christian Dvorak has struggled to stay healthy during his time in Montreal, missing 96 games over his three-season stint.

He was acquired by Marc Bergevin's regime in September 2021 from Arizona in exchange for first and second-round picks, including one in next June's draft (37th overall).

It's clear that Dvorak has not meshed with the Canadiens and that it isn't working out.

Even when healthy, he hasn't managed to break through the initially promising ceiling he showed in Arizona.

Montreal will move on from him, and the only questions are when (now or later) and how (trade or free agency)." - Frank Seravalli

There is absolutely nothing surprising in Seravalli's statement, and knowing Kent Hughes, it would be surprising if he didn't do everything to trade Dvorak rather than lose him for nothing.
We know how much the GM dislikes losing a player for free, especially since the Canadiens are still paying for the acquisition of Dvorak with the 37th overall pick this year, which belongs to the Utah team.
We'll see what happens with him, but one thing is certain: Dvorak will either be traded or become a free agent next summer.
