Logan Mailloux in the midst of controversy and it continues
We all know Logan Mailloux's past, the controversy surrounding his selection by the Canadiens, and the journey he has been on since.
As fans, we should be proud of him, and I believe that's the case for the majority of people and the organization.
In his first professional year, he ranked 9th among AHL rookies with 47 points, and let's not forget he's a defenseman.
He has stood out for his qualities on the ice, but also for his off-ice commitment, which has continued to grow throughout the season.
Undoubtedly, Mailloux's 2023-24 season was very rewarding and exciting, but for some, his past still casts a shadow over it all, and that's not fair.
We see this with a recent post online:

His place at the All-Star Game was well-deserved, and his season was far from disappointing. In fact, Tomalty is being seriously corrected in the comments following his post.
It's unfortunate that his past continues to overshadow the progress he has made in the eyes of some people. I'm not saying we should forget what happened or minimize his actions, but at some point, we need to acknowledge that Mailloux has taken responsibility and move forward with him.
