Gary Bettman has just received some bad news as BioSteel is dissociating from the NHL after the current season. Some of his decisions could be at fault, and his departure is being demanded.

As Commissioner of the League since 1993, Gary Bettman has done good things in his role, but his stubbornness in recent years could lead to his downfall.
For official sponsors, having a commissioner who defends teams at a loss like the Arizona Coyotes is not very flattering. It's even alarming.
Gatorade left the NHL in 2022, and now BioSteel is doing the same two years later.
"Sounds like this will be the last season with BioSteel as the «Official Hydration Partner» of the NHL & NHLPA. It's not yet confirmed, but word out there is BodyArmor will be taking over the partnership starting 2024-25."

- David Pagnotta

Yes, there will be other options, but the list is starting to thin out. Bettman's bargaining power is becoming much more limited, and this will undoubtedly lead to financial losses.
Losing two major sponsors like Gatorade and BioSteel in two years is really not good for the League's reputation. If such scenarios continue, Bettman will need to be replaced.
In my opinion, it should have been done a long time ago. Bettman has been there for so long and has been wielding power for so long that some decisions are starting to look like abuse of power.
