As the 2025-26 season approaches, the experts at NHL.com have ranked the top five Montreal Canadiens players in terms of points.

These projections are based on each player's expected performance throughout the season. Here are the players to watch for your fantasy leagues, along with their projected points for forwards and wins for goaltenders.

1. Nick Suzuki - 90 projected points

Nick Suzuki, captain of the Canadiens, continues to dominate as one of the league's top offensive centers. After a solid season, he is projected to put up 90 points in 2025-26, making him the Canadiens' most valuable fantasy player. Suzuki has shown exceptional chemistry with Cole Caufield, and with his skills on the power play and at five-on-five, he is a must-have pick for all fantasy leagues. The expected points include goals, assists, and strong production on the power play.

2. Cole Caufield - 72 projected points

Cole Caufield, one of the league's best shooters, ranks as the Canadiens' second-best fantasy option. His ability to score goals-especially alongside Suzuki-is undeniable. NHL.com projects Caufield will finish the season with 72 points, a large portion coming from goals. His ability to rack up shots and goals makes him valuable in leagues where these categories are essential.

3. Lane Hutson - 70 projected points

Lane Hutson, a promising young defenseman, is rising quickly within the organization. His ability to contribute offensively while remaining solid defensively makes him an appealing fantasy pick. Projected at 70 points, Hutson is a defenseman who can excel on special teams, particularly on the power play. If his progression continues, he could surpass these expectations.

4. Noah Dobson - 51 projected points

Acquired in a strategic trade, Noah Dobson is a strong complement to the Canadiens' blue line. While not as prolific as Hutson, his 51-point projection makes him a quality defenseman to add in fantasy leagues-especially for those looking for a blueliner who can produce on the power play and contribute assists.

5. Juraj Slafkovsky - 63 projected points

Slovak winger Juraj Slafkovsky, who has shown strong promise in his early seasons, is projected at 63 points in 2025-26. With an imposing frame and the ability to finish near the net, he could surpass expectations if his offensive game continues to develop. Expect goals and production in shots and hits categories.
The 2025-26 season is shaping up to be exciting for Montreal Canadiens fans and fantasy hockey players.
