Nick Suzuki at the Olympics to represent Team Canada? The captain of the Montreal Canadiens speaks out
Nick Suzuki is developing into a very good center in the NHL. So much so that discussions about his selection for Team Canada at the 2026 Olympics are intensifying.
The Montreal Canadiens wouldn't be the same team without Nick. I think that's quite obvious. Not only is he steadfast, having never missed a game since the start of his career, he is also continuously improving. But what stands out the most in his game is how versatile he is. Suzuki plays very well on both ends of the ice, which is a great quality. Moreover, he is a remarkable person.
Recently, he was asked about the possibility of being invited to represent Canada at the upcoming Olympics. His response is unequivocal:
Reporter: "Do you think about making Team Canada in the Olympics?"
Nick Suzuki: "Yeah I've definitely thought about it a lot. I'd love to be part of that team. We'll see what happens, I just gotta keep doing my job, show what type of player I could be & we'll see what happens'"
It's beautiful to see all the confidence he has. Without hesitation, he responds that he would like to go and that he thinks about it a lot. And the chances are real, as Canada could really use this type of player.
