According to Le Snake, the Montreal Canadiens would make a very good move by trading Lane Hutson now. He believes that Hutson's current value is higher than it will ever be in his career.

Le Snake is known for his unpopular opinions. In this case, he mentions that Lane Hutson would fetch a significant return for the Canadiens right now. It takes some nerve to say this when everyone is eager to see him play.

We're talking about a defenseman with record statistics in the NCAA. He's an exceptional playmaker, a quarterback, but he's small in stature, which worries most people.

"I would tell you that Lane Hutson, his value will never be as high as it is right now. You make a trade today for Lane Hutson, you get the offers, and then you get the offers for him when he starts playing, and in my opinion, the offers would be higher today than they will ever be for the rest of his career. I wouldn't be afraid that he'll end up like an Adam Fox somewhere." - Le Snake

Personally, I disagree with these remarks. Perhaps the Canadiens could get more today than in a few years, but it's a risk worth taking.

The Montreal Canadiens finally have a gem, a player who promises to excite the crowd and offer very exciting gameplay. I'm sure Kent Hughes wouldn't do that, and the offers wouldn't be high enough right now for him to let Hutson go.
