Filip Eriksson off to an excellent start in Sweden
Drafted in 2023 in the 6th round by the Montreal Canadiens, Eriksson is a young Swedish center who had a solid season last year despite his young age.
He had an excellent 2023-2024 season, recording a total of 24 points in 21 games with the Nybro Vikings.
Last year, he hit a slump and his production dipped, finishing with a total of 6 points.
However, the forward has started this year strong by collecting 2 points in his first two preseason games.
He's certainly not one of the most closely followed players in the Montreal Canadiens organization, but his development is very intriguing.
This season will be important for him, and we'll be able to track his progress throughout the year.
