His linemate, Florian Xhekaj, continues to prove that he can play a major role on this developing roster - and maybe even one day in the big league.

You've probably seen the news from the past few days - over the summer, the young forward bulked up, adding about fifteen pounds of muscle to better handle the physical demands of the NHL.

However, it's clear that this transformation hasn't stopped him from showing off an impressive offensive touch. In fact, yesterday he scored an important goal and brought a dominant presence on every shift.

We saw in him not only the "Sheriff" everyone knows from his brother, but also an intelligent player capable of complementing his teammates, especially Ivan Demidov and Oliver Kapanen.

The highlight of the evening, however, came after Ivan Demidov's goal.

Florian Xhekaj was mic'd up for the game, and the sequence was captured live.

Not only did we see his joy as he celebrated with his teammate, but we also got to hear what he had to say to him on the ice - proof of the chemistry already forming within this promising trio.
