Catastrophe for Jake Allen in New Jersey: Very bad news for him
I believe I am quite fair in my remarks when I say that Jake Allen's departure is well-received because the goaltending trio is finally over in Montreal. As for the man, it's a loss for the Canadiens.
We really hope he gets the chance to play more in New Jersey, but some recent information leads us to believe that might not happen.Indeed, there was a lot of movement in the goaltending department for the Devils at the trade deadline. Vitek Vanecek left, Jake Allen and Kaapo Kahkonen arrived.
The bad news is that goaltender Nico Daws also remains with the team, so you can imagine what might happen with the Devils. Another goaltending trio awaits Jake Allen.
We sincerely hope he can stand out as the number one goalie in the organization. That would be good for him and his future in the NHL, and it would also be good for the Canadiens.
Remember that if Jake plays 40 games or more next season, the 3rd-round pick acquired in return will become a 2nd-round pick.
Meanwhile, here are the first images of Allen in his new colors!
