By breaking Wayne Gretzky's record and becoming the all-time leading goal scorer in the NHL, Alex Ovechkin definitely could have been chosen to be on the game's cover photo.
Also, Johnny Gaudreau could have been a wise choice to appear on the famous game.
On social media, many have made special versions honoring the late Gaudreau.
Finally, this decision is causing a lot of talk among hockey fans, and it's understandable why.
We understand the choice of Matthew Tkachuk, but EA Sports could have reconsidered their decision.
