In a heated Bruins-Canadiens game at the Bell Centre, a heavy Noah Dobson shot struck Charlie McAvoy's jaw, and we now have new details on the incident as unfolded.

What a horrifying and alarming scene...
The puck hit McAvoy square in the jaw after a shot from Noah Dobson, and the Bruins defenseman went down immediately.
It was silence and fear, instantly.
In my opinion, no one yet understood the magnitude of what had just happened.
Afterward, the images began circulating within seconds, and they quickly spread across the web.
You could clearly see blood on the ice, and I think the reaction of the players around him showed how serious it was.

Charlie McAvoy, the medical update and a testimony that changes the tone

According to Elliotte Friedman, McAvoy eventually traveled with his teammates after the game.
This is a first reassuring sign in a situation that didn't look very good.
"Some good news: Charlie McAvoy did travel home with teammates after being hit in jaw by a shot in Montreal"

- Friedman
Renaud Lavoie, from TVA Sports, was very close to the scene.
"I have never seen such clear images of a puck striking a player and his teeth not holding up." - Renaud Lavoie

I even found that the Canadiens players seemed shaken when McAvoy had to leave through the Habs' tunnel to receive urgent treatment.
In a press conference, Marco Sturm tried to calm concerns.
He stated:
"He's doing well, he's undergoing tests and we want to bring him home as quickly as possible." - Marco Sturm
Hopefully we'll receive more good news soon.
