On Monday night, the Florida Panthers finally defeated Connor McDavid's Oilers in Game 7 to win the Stanley Cup.
It's their first in franchise history, and to mark the occasion, it's also the first time a Finnish captain has lifted the trophy. A significant achievement for Aleksander Barkov.
The players were very excited, and rightfully so. However, the excitement might have been too great, as they forgot one of their most important players for the team photo.
Indeed, star goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky wasn't even with his teammates.
"When it came time to take the team photo for the Panthers, they literally forgot Bobrovsky, who arrived in the frame a few seconds after the first shots." - Keven Mawn
It's quite funny, actually. One can understand that the euphoria was so high that they could forget a player. Their faces said it all when the goalie finally arrived to join them.
