During the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins, Charlie McAvoy's injury quickly became the center of all discussions.
He confirmed that his defenseman is still undergoing medical evaluation and that no timeline has been set. He then also admitted that the possibility of surgery has not been ruled out.
I'm not a doctor, but seeing the entire tooth come out and the amount of blood on the ice, it's obvious this is the kind of injury that can take a long time to heal.
Sturm then summed up the situation by saying the defenseman would not play tonight, unsurprisingly.
An injury that worries the Bruins and creates a very heavy atmosphere
Before leaving the game, Charlie McAvoy had already played more than thirteen minutes, and he was one of the best players on the ice, as he is every night.
Sturm offered a rather cautious comment:
"He's with the doctors right now. There's no timeline. Obviously, he's going to be out tonight, and we'll see how it goes today."

Obviously, the coach insisted that the priority remains the player's health.
To be honest, I believe the Bruins already know the absence could be long, even if they can't confirm it publicly yet.
The next few days will be crucial.
