'You're asking for trouble': Gilbert Delorme's direct warning to St-Louis brings Lane Hutson into focus

The Canadiens' power play is struggling, and Gilbert Delorme's comments on Club du Matin highlight rising frustration after two failed 5-on-3s in one game.
The players skate, the puck moves (from time to time), but nothing goes in.
And the more the minutes pass, the more the impatience grows.
This morning, Gilbert Delorme delivered a criticism that's resonating strongly in the Montreal market.
The Montreal Canadiens and a power play that lacks simplicity
According to the analyst, the problem is very clear.
"Move the f***ing puck! You get two 5-on-3s and you can't score, I'm sorry, but you're asking for trouble."
- Gilbert Delorme
He also pointed at the way the Habs choose their shooters.
"When we shoot, the one-timers, it's
Lane Hutson, the guy with the worst shot. You've got
Noah Dobson on the other side, he's got a good shot, set him up."
- Delorme
For him, it makes no sense. And he didn't stop there.
He noted that three out of four passes were landing in skates, which breaks the rhythm entirely.
The message is clear... they need to keep it simple.
When the power play isn't working, the reflex should be obvious. You need to get the puck to the net, create a rebound, create something.
Simplicity, nothing else.
And honestly, I agree: I think the Canadiens over-complicate something that should be instinctive.
