A few days after participating in his first development camp with the Montreal Canadiens organization, David Reinbacher, the 5th overall pick in the latest draft, took the opportunity to go on a trip to Greece with his girlfriend.
Although the couple seems rather discreet on social media, the new defenseman of the Canadiens shared a beautiful photo of his girlfriend as they enjoyed a meal in Crete, an island located in southern Greece.
It's always nice to have some news about our players during the summer, and we are thrilled that the 18-year-old is having a good time at the moment!
We are all eagerly waiting to see him in action at the upcoming training camp in September, as he could undoubtedly push the management to give him a spot with the Canadiens in the 2023-2024 season.
One thing is certain, David Reinbacher will certainly become a key piece in the Montreal defense in the years to come. Formidable in the defensive zone, the 6-foot-2 defenseman is also very mobile and has exceptional game vision. Many experts already see him as the ideal partner for young Lane Hutson, who likes to join the attack.
Furthermore, the 2023 first-round pick has had impressive offensive statistics for a player of his age. In 46 games in the Swiss top league, Reinbacher recorded 3 goals and 19 assists. Some analysts even think that it's a better league than the AHL...
If he can have a similar impact on the offensive side in the NHL, he could become an elite defenseman and a true steal for the organization.
