The matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and the Philadelphia Flyers at the Bell Centre offered much more than just a hockey game...

Between strong emotions and a charged atmosphere involving Samuel Montembeault, the evening took an unexpected turn.
What a wild game last night!
The Canadiens had just completed an incredible comeback, erasing a three-goal deficit against the Philadelphia Flyers.
The crowd was nervous at first, but then everything changed.
People began cheering at full volume, as if trying to push Montembeault and the whole team to keep believing until the very end.
But while we were watching some impressive hockey on the ice, something far less glorious was happening in the stands.

Montreal Canadiens vs. Philadelphia Flyers: When the Atmosphere Crosses the Line

A post shared by the r/Habs account drew a lot of attention after the game.
It was reported that a few Flyers fans, a little too drunk, had tried to start fights in the Bell Centre stands.
"Just saw some drunk, dumbfuck Flyers fans trying to start fights at the Bell Centre in Montreal tonight.

The Habs fans around just ignored them, they were lucky it didn't escalate further."

There aren't any images to confirm the scene, but it's truly pathetic.
The account's post was seen, shared, and discussed... and let's just say the story didn't surprise many people.
Sports are emotional.
Hockey, even more so.
But this kind of behavior has no place in an arena - especially when families are there.
It's simply a lack of class from those fans.
Meanwhile, on the ice, Samuel Montembeault experienced a very strange night.
Mocked in the first period, cheered with "Monty! Monty!" chants in the second and third, he became the symbol of the night - unpredictable, chaotic, but full of character.
Trevor Zegras ultimately decided it in the shootout.
Final score: 5-4 Flyers.
