Very controversial statement by Élizabeth Rancourt from TVA Sports about Carey Price
In a recent appearance on the podcast "Solemn", Élizabeth Rancourt from TVA Sports made a highly controversial statement directly targeting former star goaltender of the Canadiens, Carey Price.
The sports show host bluntly mentioned that Price does not love hockey, that he simply plays because he has talent and earns a lot of money.

She clarified that it was her opinion, but she repeated several times that number 31 was looking forward to returning out West and that he continued to play solely because he was good and had a lucrative contract.
"He is there just because he has the talent and the money that comes with it."
There were numerous reactions among Canadiens fans following the release of this excerpt from the podcast.
Later in the same episode, she also expressed her opinion that Price absolutely did not deserve to have his jersey retired at the Bell Centre, let alone a place in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
"No, no, no, I believe he doesn't deserve anything."
Wow! It's still quite rare to see a public figure, who is consistently present in the television industry, make such statements. We applaud her boldness in speaking her mind, but needless to say, it's creating a lot of buzz at the moment.
