A Subtle Clue From Martin St-Louis Sparks Speculation About Final Roster Cuts

It is always very busy days and hours when the Montreal Canadiens management is about to decide on the final roster.
And this time, it seems that Martin St-Louis may have let slip a major clue even before the official announcement, which is supposed to come this Sunday morning.
In fact, when answering a question from journalists about what he would say to the young players still in uncertainty, the coach almost confirmed the fate of several of them.
I must say that this strongly suggests they will likely be sent down to Laval.
"MSL all but confirmed the cuts when talking about what advice he'd give Beck, Xhekaj and Engstrom as they nervously await their fate tonight."

Oliver Kapanen and Joe Veleno should remain with the Montreal Canadiens
Meanwhile,
TVA Sports journalist Nicolas Cloutier further notes that
Samuel Blais and
Kaapo Kahkonen could be placed on waivers as early as tomorrow, while Beck, Xhekaj, and Engstrom would be officially assigned to the Rockets in the morning.
"As Martin St-Louis emphasized that he preferred to start with 13 forwards, it could be assumed that Blais and Kahkonen will be placed on waivers tomorrow at 2 p.m.
Beck, F. Xhekaj, and Engstrom would be sent down to Laval in the morning."

For his part, Martin St-Louis took the opportunity to praise Kapanen's progress, declaring:
"I believe he has the potential to become a complete player. He understands the game well, he can play on the penalty kill and even on the power play."

Personally, I think the decision to keep Kapanen and Veleno is logical-they both earned their place.. although I would have loved to see Florian with the Habs this year.
