Canadiens make key roster move following long-term loss of Alex Newhook
The Montreal Canadiens created a surprise this afternoon with the call-up of Jared Davidson, a forward from the Laval Rocket who is having a strong season in Laval.
"The Canadiens announced on Friday that forward Jared Davidson has been recalled from the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League."

Jared Davidson, Laval Rocket and the Montreal Canadiens' needs
Davidson was doing everything a young player needs to do to earn a promotion since the start of the year.
He scores, he plays physical, he showed he really wanted to move up.
And in Laval, he had become one of the club's most dangerous forwards.
When the Canadiens lack goals, energy, and sometimes consistency, this kind of call-up often comes at the right time.
You can feel that Martin St-Louis wants to shake things up.
You can also feel that some veterans will have to respond.
