The death of Alain Hage, father of Michael Hage, occurred in the summer of 2023 during a swimming pool accident at a family barbecue.
Alain, a hockey enthusiast and lifelong Habs fan, died suddenly in heartbreaking circumstances.
He left behind his wife Rania, Michael, and his younger son Alexander.
Despite this terrible tragedy, Michael and Alexander resumed training shortly after, determined to honor their father's memory.
It is this whole story, along with his francophone roots, that makes Michael Hage such a unique prospect in Montreal.
We can't wait to see him arrive. The decibel level at the Bell Centre will surely hit record highs when he scores his first goal.
