Canadiens Prospect Vinzenz Rohrer Is Off to a Rough Start in Europe and It's Raising Questions

The difference between some of the Montreal Canadiens prospects at the start of this season is striking.
The forward displays an impressive hockey sense, natural creativity, and the ability to influence the offensive game every time he's on the ice. His start is incredible, especially considering he's playing in one of the best hockey leagues in the world - the KHL.
While Alexander Zharovsky and Michael Hage keep putting up strong performances and gradually earning the Canadiens' trust, Vinzenz Rohrer is still trying to find his rhythm with the Zurich Lions...
Vinzenz Rohrer Still Looking for His First Point in Switzerland
After a good camp in Montreal, Rohrer returned to Europe hoping to play an offensive role in Zurich.
But after eleven games, he still has zero points - despite averaging more than 16 minutes of ice time per game...
It's a slow start, even for a player who isn't part of the main special teams units.
His line, formed with Nicolas Baechler and Willy Riedi, has scored only two goals in ten games - a very low output for a team as strong as Zurich.
"It's not alarming, but it's still a drop in production compared to last year." - Hebdo CH
Rohrer has only played 18 shifts alongside Denis Malgin, the team's top scorer, and that certainly doesn't help his visibility or his stats.
In my opinion, this is a very important moment for Rohrer.
He'll need to turn this slow start into motivation and prove that he can bounce back if he wants to achieve his dream of playing in the NHL soon.
